For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. Romans

From John 3
19“Now this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the light. Why? Because their actions were wicked. 20For everyone who does evil things hates the light and avoids it, so that his actions won’t be exposed. 21But everyone who does what is true comes to the light, so that all may see that his actions are accomplished through God.”
God is glorified. The believer does what is right. The believer does what is true. What is right? What is true? Following Christ is both right and true; he is the light that came from God and his coming glorifies God. The purpose of a cup is to hold a drink so the drinker may be refreshed. The potter spends the time, invests his efforts to have a vessel that will hold a drink so the owner may be refreshed.
The believer is created , all mankind was created with the purpose to love and glorify God the Creator, to fulfill his wishes. The believer knows his Father’s will and knows his own purpose; for as David declares, he spends time searching God’s spoken words written down for the believer. The cup that refuses to hold the drink is destroyed for it does not fulfill its purpose.
Those who prefer darkness, refusing the light, rejecting the Christ, Son of God sent to bring light, are refusing to fulfill their purpose. They do not bring God glory and so the sentence, the judgment, remains on them. Those who come to the light fulfill their purpose, glorify God. Not only that, the light enters them and as Christ is light so they become light to the rest of creation. And God is glorified.
Pray – How happy are those whose way of life is blameless, who live by the Torah of Adonai. How happy are those who observe his instruction, who seek him wholeheartedly! They do nothing wrong but live by his ways. Psalm 119:1
Repent – I repent for the days spent in the darkness of night with no light. I repent for those in this nation who continue in darkness.
Ask – You laid down your precepts for us to observe with care. May my ways be steady in observing your laws.
Yes – Then I will not be put to shame, since I have fixed my sight on all your ways. I thank you with a sincere heart as I learn your righteous rulings.
