Found this in a journal written last September. Tell me what you think.
Psalm 49…my mouth will speak words of wisdom; the utterance from my heart will give understanding…God will redeem my life from the grave, he will surely take me to himself.
Proverbs..the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge… whoever listens to me will live in safety, and be at ease, without fear of harm.
I. Corinthians 2:13 this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. the man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in the righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
John 3:6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. The wind goes where it will, you hear it, don’t know its origin or its resting place and so it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
We can say where we were born of water, who we came from, where we started. We can even revisit that place. We have never seen or been to the place of the Spirit but we are born of the Spirit and will return there even though we don’t know where it is. We operate (function) in the Spirit and cannot explain to those not of the Spirit how it is. We ‘see’ with the Spirit, ‘hear’ in the Spirit, ‘speak’ by the Spirit. The Spirit illuminates God’s Word, brings us understanding as we read. This is not: feelings, physical, emotional, intellectual. It is another realm entirely- outside what is ‘normally’ seen or known.
